There are unlimited possibilities for you as the artist. And the good news (and sometimes the bad news) is that as the artist, you get to decide. All of it.
Do you want that sky blue? It doesn't have to be. Will your painting be flat or have linear perspective? There is no wrong choice!
Mark D. Bird finds freedom in that. Like many artists, he can get inspired by the scene in front of him. He can then play with what he will choose to take from that scene and convey in his final piece and what he won't.
He knows there is no wrong answer. He's the artist, he gets to decide. And the way he decides is what will make the strongest type of painting he wants to paint.
How much do you change in your paintings? We'd love to hear about how you work below!
