Guy Magallanes says that a lot of his students ask him how to fix mistakes. He'll always answer their question, but the watercolor artist is less interested in teaching people how to fix mistakes and more interested in teaching people to paint.
And the quote above is why. Sure, learning to fix mistakes is a way to get better. But if you're not careful, it can be all you see. And as Guy says, "Where is the fun in that?!"
