In this clip from her video workshop, Commanding Color, watercolorist Sue Archer shows you how to develop your leaves so that they curve toward your viewer. Sue does this by adding a wash of watercolor that will darken her values but won’t grey her colors. She paints wet-into-wet and lays down the same pigments she’s already used to paint her vivid middle values.
