15-Minute Sketch: Streams

March 07, 2019 1 min read

Streams bring serenity or energy to any natural place and any painting. Whether it’s a bubbling brook or a roaring river just after snow melt, water has as many characteristics as we have colors in our paint kit.

But it’s not just the water that lends itself so well for painting and drawing bu the scenery around it. Big and small rocks. Flora and fauna. The river creates natural composition and a good host of shapes to make any painting an award winning subject.
