15-Minute Sketch: Cottages

April 18, 2019 1 min read

If we've learned anything this week from Joyce Hicks' videos, it's that we have the freedom to turn a reference photo into a vibrant painting. Inspired by her fantastic scenes, this week we're practicing sketching cottages and other small houses. All it takes is grabbing a pencil, any quality paper, and hitting play on the video. Get your sketching practice every day and you'll be amazed at how quickly your drawing skills improve.

Please note: The video does not include audio. Think of it as a reference photo slideshow: Five reference photos will be on the screen each for 3-minutes each. Ready, set, sketch!

Learning to draw takes daily practice. Start by taking 15-minutes a day to draw. Each week we'll post a new sketching video. Each video has 5 reference photos based on a theme. Each image is up on the screen for 3 minutes. If you want to spend more time with an image, see the direct links below for the copyright free images.
