A few weeks back we focused on man’s best friend dogs. This week, we’re turning our attention to studio companions everywhere, cats.
Whether they are sleeping peacefully in the sun or knocking all of our possessions off tables, we are in love with cats. (In fact, here at Creative Catalyst, we had a cat Benjamin who would sit in the studio with us while we were filming.)
Learning to draw cats is especially great if you are interested in painting pet portraits. Cats also make welcome additions to garden scenes or interior still life.
If you’d like to take your cat drawing skills and tart adding paint we recommend Susan Bourdet’s Inspiration From the Garden and Pat Weaver’s Animal Portraits in Watermedia.
