Join popular workshop instructor and author Lesley Riley in the fun of altering books, an innovative art form using memorabilia you've had around the house for years! Lesley demonstrates innovative ways to use ephemera, which materials work best, design and continuity dos and don'ts, her rationale for choosing particular fabrics, and how to avoid common mistakes. Learn a variety of ways to transfer images, and witness the resulting look achieved by each method. See how to “tip-in” pages, adhere mica, and “age” photos and fabric. About The Artist:
Lesley Riley
Lesley Riley is known for her ability to inspire her students' creativity with multiple media. Her art instructional videos from Creative Catalyst Productions feature fabric collage art — creating quilts and fabric books, and demonstrating transfer techniques for soft, permanent, washable photos on any fabric, from any inkjet printer.
First known for her Fragment series of small fabric collages, Lesley Riley is now an internationally known art quilter and mixed-media artist with a passion for photos, color and the written word.
