Zach Powers has been shooting and editing videos for Creative Catalyst since Lynn and Jim Powers adopted him into their family business in 2005. Zach has been an official part of the Powers family since the summer of 2010, when he married Lynn and Jim's youngest daughter Kelly, who is his partner in life and on Creative Catalyst's video production team. With encouragement from all parents involved, Zach took Kelly's surname because they didn't want a hyphen and he couldn't pass on a name like Powers.

Zach, who was born with the surname Mull, was raised in Corvallis, OR, just across the Willamette River from Creative Catalyst's office in Albany. He earned a degree in electronic media production from the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon. In addition to his work at Creative Catalyst, Zach occasionally shoots videos as a freelancer for clients around the Willamette Valley. He enjoys working on creative projects with Kelly, making cocktails for friends, exploring new cities and neighborhoods, and watching football, especially if the Oregon Ducks or Pittsburgh Steelers are playing. Zach lives with Kelly and their 16-pound gray cat, Bear.
