Kwan Jung grew up and received his art training in Southern China, graduated from New Asia College, the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a B. A. degree in painting in 1961. He married Yee Wah Yip, also an artist, in 1962. They moved to San Diego, California in 1963 and made San Diego their hometown since. An award winning artist and teacher and author of the book "Chinese Brush Painting" (North Light Books), Jung is best known for portraits and landscapes.
