Product Description

Put pattern to work with mixed media artist Anne Bagby. In this DVD workshop you’ll learn to create your own stamps, masks, stencils, and paper as you build a truly customized collage. Work fast and free, layering homemade paper and lush acrylic glazes to design an intricate and eclectic figure. Anne makes all her own collage materials. She combines stamped and painted patterns to create the wafer-thin paper she uses throughout the workshop. You’ll transfer antique designs to hand-carved stamps and cut contact paper masks to guide custom stencils. Anne uses an experimental process, working simultaneously on five figures. She takes risks with the weakest, using the freedom of collage to find creative solutions. You’ll quickly build shapes with paper and slowly unify them with controlled glazes.

Ann Bagby's video is chock full of information. She is very generous and provides many techniques and discusses materials that will no doubt enhance your skills.\r\nAnne's ability to demonstrate her process has opened up a whole new way of doing things for me. Anne also demonstrates why certain techniques and materials work and takes you through different stages of her process.\r\nThis video was well worth the money. I was able to apply what I learned immediately and have already watched it many times...learning something new each time!!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed Anne Bagby’s video. I’m a big fan of hers anyway and have spent the equivalent of a few weeks in her classes. I was thrilled to learn even MORE on the video. It was nice to see the projects in finished form, as that usually doesn’t happen in workshops.

Thanks for your great work in providing us with “art-vacations in a box!”

I had been toying with buying this video for several months and decided to purchase it recently. I am so pleased I did. I learned lots of cool techniques that i had never done. I have watched it twice already and for me that is a high compliment! i want her to do another video on how she draws her faces and animals. well worth it and i really hope she does more or moves next door:)

I have admired her work for a long time, so when I saw this DVD I had to buy it.
It has a lot of great techniques. I was inspired to get into my studio and try something new.
I refer back to it often.
