So much of art is about sculpting emotion into a physical form. It's about taking the feelings of a place and transferring it to a piece of paper. Occasionally I'll find myself driving through fields I knew from childhood and I feel myself saying, "Aaah. This is why the Caroline Jaspers and the Dale Laitinens of the world paint the land."

A note from Caroline:

One day this quiet shoreline was introduced to me by friends, now married many years, as the place where they met. I was captivated by their special place. At twilight, sparkling warm hue reflections gilded the water, then too quickly disappeared with the setting sun.

What are you trying to capture in what you paint?
